Is it because I'm good at this or just because I'm the only one competeing?

Well, what to do now? It's hard to find expressions you think no one else uses since YOU are used to it... Let's pull of a byword... We ahve to find a good one, we can't give you a misleading picture of Swedish by giving you bad bywords . On the other hand, most bywords speak for themselves...

If you've digged a hole for others, you often fall into it yourself...

I think the corresponding phrase in English would be: Harm set, harm get.

Meaning: If you try to be set up a trap for others (in a metaphorical way), you might easily stumble into your own trap. We have a similar saying in german, so this sounds plausible to me!

As a price you have to find a new expression (pick hals und beinbruch!) .

something is better than nothing, e.g. owning a beat-up car is beter than dreaming of a ferrari.

but i remember a contradiction made by U2 in their song, Even Better Than The Real Thing.

He would get back when he'd got his girlfriend back, and I don't think that will ever happen (you could allways wish, but...).

And no, I don't know Mysteek, but I know OF him, and I know of your feelings about him as well...

A bit too late though, HandEFood, but it's not right. It means that you can always blame someone for everything that goes wrong.
Üb had guessed it allready so it's his turn, after everybody has finished the items about the missing people??

Dammit, I have to find another expression . OK, here's the deal, I leave it over to someone else, who hopefully can come up with something good.
