I notice that when I summon a dreadknight and just let him roam around, he seems much more effective against the enemy. He also randomly uses a Lightning spell of some sort to great effect. However, once I cast Aura of Command on him, he no longer casts the lightning spell and becomes a hack fighter. What gives? Why does he lose this ability?

i think, once you lead someone, he loses his casting ability and some other unknown abilities, this is probly why most of the bosses are casters. for the same reason, tough fighters like paladins, their bodies disappear after they die(however, you can save when a paladin is falling and when you load the save, you could see his body, but thats it, its still not summonable).

ps: i am still new to this game so i might be wrong.

Is there anything I can edit to allow them to keep their lightning ability? It's pretty stupid that he loses an ability in order to simply follow you around.
