I did not see anything in this post saying that Viper is leaving right now ! Well, then read it now. I just made a post in the Dutch forum about it as well. I need to leave for a few weeks/months. Bring some piece and quiet in my life, find a house to buy and such. I WILL come back though, prolly when the next project is gonna be announced. BYE All !!, I hope I haven't offended too many people by what I've said/typed and I hope that those people can forgive me. BYE BYE ... (I'll prolly drop in a few times this week.. kicking off you know, but I'm leaving for my skiing holiday on friday and when I come back I do not intend to drop in anymore... for some time..)

Have fun with your break (everyone needs a break now and then (I took several but no one noticed )). I hope you'll return soon . There aren't that many members around from the time I first logged in. You're on of em so hope you don't stay away to long.
Have fun on your break and ski vacation. But it's important you RETURN.
Or let's just say: Not farewell but see you later.
@lynn: announce the new project this Friday so Viper must come back
@Jurak; I knew you would never leave. It's not in the orcchief nature. When things get harder we just drink more to compensate.
Has any one seen mandrake? I lost the keys for the stasis pod room. And yes I know you can also use cryogenic pods but we all know that we agreed not to use cryo pods cos of the mess upon melting.
I miss Mandrake and those silly discussions.

...and they have been backed up on several occasions by people who i thought were good friends, and i have found it all very irratating,... The more I think about that the more confused I become. If you think about me anyhow then I say I am sorry. There were some posts with hot tensions, I thought It never went too personal. If this is really a reason then I leave, you stay. I can't think of anything better atm. it is a mess. I really hate to see what happening. (Egin feels depressive) Viper. Good luck to you. Have a great vacation, have a great life

@ Viper - Have a great vacation, and all the best with your house hunting and other "real life" goals. Especially thank you for saying "I WILL come back..."
@ Egin - Don't you dare even *think* about leaving! We only recently welcomed you back, and do not want to lose you again...
@ Morbo - O! but we DID notice... just knew deep down that an Orc Chief needs his breaks (arms, legs, necks... ) but is always considerate and finds his victims *outside* the forums. (I miss Mandrake, too... )

@ Viper Have a great skiing vacation. And then good luck for finding a very nice house with a great garden for you and your family.
@ Egin Don't even try leaving, i would be very mad. I don't want to visit Estonia in winter to find you and to give you a punishment. I don't want to get cold. I would prefer to visit Shyon (if i had some vacation) and have fun with the carnival on the beach.

I don't know Egin, a 'punishment' from Barta sounds interesting. (wiggles eyebrows)
Seriously Eghead, don't leave! You rock!

And Egin, you shouldn't feel forced to leave to keep someone else here. Period.

Ciao Vipe have fun (shudders at the thought of buying a house and the extra expenditure that occurs) dont break any legs on the slope (picture a viper on ski's and giggle inanely )
And Jurak (I have no idea why I always feel I should pronounce it "shoorag" instead of "Jewrak" but I guess that is the little bit of French that is still in me somewhere ) glad to hear you will stay and if it was possible I would sent you some of those 40 degree days we have here at the moment
Ans Spick is being Spick and just lurking without making a post (yeah I saw you, you lil you )
And Ube if you wanna know about those "Crisis" just use the search engine and type in the relevant names
Awe rubbish I am beginning to ramble like the old man that I am so I better call it quits (for this topic ok ) before I get to old to finish typing

Gal, FIRST you try and help him get better, when he won't listen you ask politelly, when he still won't listen you tell him again, when he still won't listen you tell him to... leave (as rude as possible ). But you've got to give him a chance to better. And in this case we're not talking about someone who is pissing everybody off, we're talking Egin. Who isn't pissing everybody off. And in the end I think Spick was a bit tense. He got pissed pretty quick inthe end. Maybe a break was just what he needed. Maybe not, who knows? I hope he'll be back soon at least.

I've said it a hundred times (just not posted it). We need a spam section where all the "one picture","one word", "one word A - Z" ... threads can be moved to. Look I like some of these thread Heck I prolly started a few. But you can't call those threads chat or discussion threads. So I suggest Lynn puts the junkjard (junkyard just a name Lynn could prolly come up with a better name like abysn the dungeon ....) section in the chat section where all those threads can be moved to. I am not saying I don't like those threads it just that they don't belong in a chat section. When I log in after a days work and start sifting trough the 10 one... threads to see what actually has been posted it becomes harder and harder. Now I also enjoy a good spam like the rest of us thats why I don't want em removed, just moved
Just a tought. If you don't like the idea it's okay by me. just my 2 euro cents.

IMHO, if one person keeps bugging everybody else, why don't we simply ask him/her politly to leave? If you like, I will send him/her a PM. Sorry Gal but i can't agree. Nobody can ask to somebody else to leave. If one person keeps bugging everybody else, you can send him/her a PM saying that his/her posts annoy/hurt one or several members and ask him/her to make an effort without being rude or agressive. If this person does not make any effort to change his/her behaviour, you can send a PM to a moderator. Only the moderator can take the final decision. The forum is not a court, we don't have to judge each other. Who can say who are the good ones and who are the bad ones ? Barta EDIT : After a small english lesson i had to edit my post. I misunderstood the words so my previous answer had no sense.

@ Barta Yes, you are right. At least you say it in a nicer way than some others do. I have send a PM allready to the person in particular. I will remove my previous post, but I hope everybody will understand that I only wanted to stop all the chaos. And I said I would do it [color:"red"] politly [/color] .

I don't want to know who he is but i guess he is a male. Explain him politely the problem in a PM and later if this person still have a disturbing behaviour you can send a PM to a moderator. In my mind the chaos is not due to ONE person, it's due to the recent bad events which shocked all the people. The tsunami, the bad news about Kyra, the tension between american members and european members because of the politics, etc. But (specially for Jurak) after the rain the sun will shine again. Barta

A text I finished just a few minutes ago in a different forum :
About that "stupid posts" thing :
It's actually a plague. Or is it natural development of boards ?
Actually, I'm ctive in several very different boards, andin recent times I noted an increasing amount of "stupid" posts and spammers. Everywhere.
Forums which have been cosy and friendly get eroded by spammers and people posting ... well, trivial posts.
But that'snot the worst thing. The worst thing is the inceasing amount of aggressiveness (does this word really exist ?), and the vanishing of high standards in Forums.
I mean that In knew two or three forums where it hs been ... well, "cosy" is the best word I know for it. Friendly as it sghould be : people helping one another, being friendly, discussing on sophisticated topics, even philosophy sometimes. Too good to be true.
I'm just puzzled where this high amount of spamming and "stupid" (as I would call it, because it rarely has any special intention and meaning) comes from. Is thiseven the natural evolution o all boards i this world ? Or did someone enter such a board with the thought "this tick; let's create some chaos there" ?
What I do note is, however, that such a way of posting implies n underlying different forum-culture. Please keep in mind that every Forum has its own - individual- culture. Therefore in theory every forum can be judged from its own culture. A Forum about classicval music (Bach, Beethoven Händel for example) will create a *very* different culture than a forum dealing with war games. It's just the way it is. The interest - or rather the theme - that is the underlying basis of a forum creates the "mood" of the forum by attracting people through its theme or its Leitmotiv.
That's what puzzles me now : What is the underlying culture of people posting in a certain way ? I don't know.
All I can see that worldwide the forums change ... more and more spamming comes into them, and more and more aggressiveness.
About older Forummembers : older ones have some sort of priviliges, but are not at all standing beyond measure. Me, I'm one of the oldest forummembers in a certain forum. I know that. The people know me for being able to post both philosophical topics like as well [nocando] almost senseless stuf (like a jester) at the same time. Nevertheless I believe that I must try to be polite to *everyone* : A community consists of its members, as someone posted in the above mentioned forum a few days ago, so a communizty without members is nothing. The members make the "mood" of a forum - and in the end they forum the specific culture of a forum. So, if I try to be polite, try to help newbies, these will find a forum where I'm in to be a good place. If I greet a newbie with cynical words, or even by mobbing, then they will stay out - but all what I've posted will be also be read by others and be reflected back on me. The other readers might thik that if I dare to post in such an unpolite way, the others might be allowed to do so as well - thus resulting in an overall unfriendly culture, where newbies are rather thrown out instead of greeted with a welcome. Within such a community, such a mood of unpoliteness might influence the community itself - thus creating an unfriendly athmosphere within the community itself. People will or might start to atack one another, write cynical remaks, tease others or simply try to finish them off.
That's the influence a community / forum gets by the acting of its members. So be careful !
Well, I'm exhausted of writing now, and it's late here in Germany now, o I'd better stop writing.
