Yes but it's not our job to judge who writes "Too many" stupid posts.
Don't react to a stupid post or a stupid topic just ignore it.

I try not to, but lately I see more and more blatenly 'stupid' posts and topics.
I'm nice most of the time, but when people go over the railings, well...

I never bought the game, Splinter Cell, because when I visited their official forum I was totally turned off by the immaturity of the posters.

If everybody had the courage to ignore the stupid topics, without answering or without having bad reactions, the stupid topics would stop !

The worse thing for a "real" spammer is to be ignored.
Then he move to another forum for spamming again but at this time it is not our problem anymore.

so let's not do so. since Lynn is the MOD, let her do her work instead of us pushing her. what we can do is report but more than that, it's persuasion. by means of posts, or PM. not more. we must not play elitism here. a newbie has as much right as a veteran of the forum. this is what i feel we should believe.

& for those who miss Mandrake, that mangy cat is alive & well, i should think. the last e-mail contact i had with him was sometime last year & he told me he's having a break from the forum to 'get a life'. & also being traitorous <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> to PC gaming by spending time on the xbox & PS2. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

& Cleg, dude i hope u will decide to stay on. u have as much influence on the forum as any of us therefore u have the same power as any to make it better or worse. u also happen to be more than an angel. u're a saint. or that i have misinterpreted the ring on your head.

Ube, let's not find out what happened back then when i was a newbie. i had a lot of stupid posts. recalled a misunderstanding with mandrake & egin but the two were nice to help me get over it. this forum is my first so i was more newbie than most. don't know forum/internet ethics, can't tell a joke from otherwise. didn't even know barta was a lady back then. back when she was a green dragon. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" />

we have many great memories here. let's perpetuate the goodness.

Very good posts written, they make me feel about the strong core of this forum. Alrik - this is the answer to your question about spirit. You can feel it in the air here. Strong goodwill of it's members makes this forum strong. Still strong even after several of it's best report leaving. Hmm, let us go forward and hope that that strong spirit will attract our old friends back again <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

As for the spamming, why it makes so much problem? If you wanna spam, go ahead there are plenty of topics, if you want to speak/discuss/debate go ahead and start your thread. Yes, we have been a bit too nervous lately, it is time to calm down and move forward.

And this time I wanted to grab the cow by it's horns and stop all the leaving. That is all. Didn't want to start anything and certainly not getting on your nerves this time. I had a similar problem with the German Sacred Forum.

Could it be that Action-related games are mostly played by people who don't want to think, so to say ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

( I know, this sounds quite weiird - perhaps even offensive. But I'm not sure where this all comes from ... )
