Seth, u better be back once people start asking in DD help section about how to kill u to get your brightblade.
& barta, don't feel so depressed about us thinking that u're not a woman at first. take it like a man.
Barta, at first i never thought u're a lady nor have i thought about whether u're otherwise or in between. it's only when Shyon or Egin that asked if u're male or female then i realised that u are female.
anyway, what are u going to do as the president about Ube's application to change gender?

Shyon thought i was a man. Egin thought i was a man. Janggut thought i was a man. And Ubereil thought i was a transvestite ! Barta is going to hide into a tiny hole under the ground with her two last pets, her two turtles. My very first ava in the forum. It's a Larian pic. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.larian.com/ubbthreads/images/avatars/dragon.jpg) Barta I remember it well. Don't hide with the turtles, hide and let me hide with the turtles somewhere else! I didn't think you were a transvestite.

Barta, don't care with this - some people here thought that i was a woman, what isn't true - this is all past now - nothing more to worry - besides now every body knows that you are a woman, and a nice person to say the truth.

I often have the impression that names ending with "a" are female, those ending with "o" are male. Sort of latin legacy ?
Whereas "Andrea" is a male name in Italy ...

Whereas "Andrea" is a male name in Italy ... "Andrea" is both a male name and a female name in Italy. my great grand-mother (born in venice) was named Andrea and she was not a tranvestite

Whereas "Andrea" is a male name in Italy ... Very true Alrik. But only in Italy (and countries with simulat languages) Sandra - Sandro fi. There are even lots of jokes about that in Italy. About what's the name gonna be for a baby when the mom doesn't want to reveal the sex before birth. LoL And there are always exceptions. MG is right too. And how about y? I know a guy called Daisy fi.

I think in latin-issued languages the use of Mary (Marie, Maria) in a composed first name for a man is quite frequent...
In france there are many Jean-Marie (Jean= John), Pierre-Marie (Pierre= Peter)etc.
In Italy Carlo-Maria is not infrequent... etc...
Originally (even if it has lost this mean) it was a sign of particular devotion for Mary in lands dominated by catholic church...
well i'm writing this in the wrong topic... should be on alrik's one about cultural differences!

Yeah, right.
What I never understood is the "Maria" is common as a "middle name" (German Actor Klaus Marian Brandauer, featured in one James Bond movie) , but *never* "Joseph" as a "middle name" for women ?

, but *never* "Joseph" as a "middle name" for women ? Would Josephina count? we have a LOT of people in SA (our names are very similar to dutch and german names normally) with Josephina as a middle name.
