A courtesy and commendable consideration by Lucretia towards all of us, as she could have dropped out silently, and restrict herself to answering the PMs of those who might have worried or would have missed - and actually asked - her.
I assume she pre-meditated and had very good reasons to choose this form of notification - sparing herself the foreseeable subsequence.
