I've been in act IV for some time & accomplished what I think should be a # of quests, but nothing at all has shown up in my log, either as given or solved. I did the 3 tests, found the tunnel, found the eyes for the imp, killed the monster, & so on, but no mention of a quest. How can this be???

The quests should be showing up in your log. Have you installed the latest patch? Try deleting the files in the dynamic folders; ' ..\Beyond Divinity\Acts\Act1\Dynamic', ' ..\Beyond Divinity\Acts\Act2\Dynamic', etc. These folders are used as a cache for the game. Files are created / copied there from the save game folder when you load, and written / copied to those folders when you save a game. The files will be re-created as required the next time you start Beyond Divinity. If there was a corrupt file in those folders, deleting the files should fix the problem.

Also click on the "filter" button in your quest log... it may be that they were incorrectly filtered out. I had this once and clicking the filter button repaired the problem.

Thank you both! I onl had to use the "filter quest" & the quests showed up. Do have current patch. Have a new problem now *sigh*, went to the battlefields for a looksee, mean little nasties in level IV, too, they are. Anyway, the minimap is not clearing as I move along after a certain point--just a solid blackness, so we're groping around in the dark being nailed by mages & clerics. Now whaddou I do???

Sometimes leaving the battlefields and then returning fixes the problem....
Otherwise you may have a corrup dynamic file....
Try deleting the files in the dynamic folders; '..\Beyond Divinity\Acts\Act1\Dynamic', '..\Beyond Divinity\Acts\Act2\Dynamic', etc. These folders are used as a cache for the game. what you can also try is double clicking the portrait of your character, this fixes the black maps in a couple of cases, or pressing "a" and then exiting the map again...

A tardy reply, but wanted to let you know that all I had to do was exit the Battlefields, things were A-OK when I went back. Took notes on the other solutions too, though, just in case. TY Lady Rain, much appreciated!
