i don't mean to sound harsh but if the sound director (or someone who's responsible to record the voice actors/actresses) doesn't know what kind of voice or emotion or volume he/she wants in the actor/actress, that person is equally to blame because he/she doesn't know what is required for the game. nice enough doesn't cut it.

scriptwriters are also very imnportant to write good dialogues & not something very boring & unimaginative. in BD, towards later acts, voices for NPcs improve though some need more work. what i hate, really hate is forced accent. if u don't sound irish, then don't try it. if u are french, speak in your own natural tone. that way the dialogues have more honest sound to it & this helps in making the characters more believable. after all, Divinity universe has no known nationality that has uniform accent.
