or create a spellbook that needs a level of wisdom, to cast a spell. you can keep this book with you, thi sbohk gives you some extra stats also... like a golden book of wizards. you canb put 5 spells in it. th ebook gives you +20 magic ? if you fail, the casted spell will backfire towards you? reminds me of this movie -> DUEL

Macbeth..yes but life leech cant be used on a friendly npc or can it?
The bean: hmm it would be nice to see not just speels backfiring but also a mishit from weapons...in some cases you miss so bad you drop the weapon and have to find it again!!!

Something that should not miss (like in oblivion): BIRDS!
and i hope that there will be small wildlife like rabbits and stuff too, but that has nothing to do with flying creatures...

Pterodactyls, various birds of prey, bats (non-giant/mutant).... I also like the already mentioned phoenix, griffin and flying pig. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Why can't wizzards use flying spells? Or there maybe a skill for wide jumps available for any or some heroes... Or one can gain a special gear for flying purpose... Why should only npcs fly? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

they won't. Its quite sure you will able to transform into a dragon etc. and fly across the lands. This could be one of the reasons why they need flying creatures. To not make you invulnareble up there...
thats just my thoughts at least

would it not be nice if there was a quest ,, you have to investigate a crazy wizzard.
he trannsforms humans into crazy stuff, let pigs fly, etc.
and he will be in th emain line of the story. but not a real main quest. but thing yuo notice every one and a while...
example:
like a tavern and you want to sit on a barchair. the chair starts talking to you, "watch out mister!"..
what happens..a crazy mage did thid to me...
