See the thing is it would be nice to have some sort of castle turrent spread around the ares of rivellon flying the banner of the present monarch....then it wouldnt look so strange or a high wall or so..it would look errrrrr "proper".
I expect the poor area to be middle class and have nicer houses...
Just south of the stormfist castle you could have many merchants housing with some guard posts or two. To the west are the farmlands where there are two castle turrets....to safeguard aganst trolls.
