I expect the poor area to be middle class and have nicer houses...

They call it the poor area for a reason. That's why they live in hovels, not houses and that's why they're poor not middle class.

I think he means he doesn't expect all the poor people living next to the great castle

Yet that's medieval reality. (Ok, it's fantasy, but it's medieval fantasy.)

actually no.

It is this way since you only have the castle. Most mid evil cities had a wall around their city and a castle in the middle. out side the walls the poor lived, inside the walls you got the middle class and inside the castle the high class?

No, it's not like that. 'Middle class' didn't even really exist at the time, in fact the term originated only in the 18th century. Sure you had members of guilds and merchants who might have been a little bit better off, but the during the middle ages you still had an all or nothing society: either you belonged to the nobility or high clergy, or you didn't. Their still was nothing in the middle. No middle class.

Sort of, we were talking of how Stormfist Castle isn't really near a city.

Have a secret hidden character class made available after you beat the game. The Harlot, you gain "experience" by selling yourself all over Rivellon.

How did you get that evil warlord to leave town? Oh, just did some oral persuasion.

I would love it but in the current climate of hot coffee retaliation I don't think it will happen. (make it super secret )

and we have no classes, but I guess you were talking about skill set.

As of the size of Rivellon, I would be impressed it it was larger then the San andreas cities.

Never played GTA:SA. Could you compare how big the world it with Morrowind for instance?

With a car at full speed you need 20-30 mins to get from one side of the map to the other side. Don't know how large it is vs morrowind or oblivion. Since they had huge stretches of nothing in between cities.

That brings me to an other point.

How will you keep the long travels interesting?

gta sa had the radio and the fact that you had to pay attention not to crash. And Oblivion had the lazy-mans out solution of instant travel (horses are to slow). Now I guess that as the game progresses you will slowly gain faster means of transportation (also teleporter stones). But I hope they will find some way to make you want to travel on foot or other way so you can see the locations , but also make it fast and entertaining(good music?).

fast can be done by dragon, entertaining can be done by lots of content, dragon being chased?

About horses in oblivion, it's not like a car or plane in GTA:SA, the car and plane were a joy to ride, it made you cruise for 10 minutes before you said that you had to move on to the mission. The horse was just "I'll only use you when i need you, you funless means of transportation." and if that wasn't enough you always sumbled on a mountain range where your horse could not get over (Did any one actually walked for the fun of it in morrowind or ovlivion?)

So strongly suggest you don't only invest in cities but also on the space in between and how it is made fun to travel in (instead of just using teleporters and skpping the spaces in between.).

Yes I really did. Why? Because I always discover something new. I have played Morrowind a lot and yet only last week, with a new mage-character, I stumbled upon a Ancestral Tomb I didn't know in which I found a ring that gave me +10 to intelligence and willpower. Priceless.
