The Amish still speak some sort of ancient hessian dialect. Hessen is still one state within Germany (Germany consists of several states, to be exact).

There's a movie called in German "Der einzige Zeuge" (English maybe "the only witness" or "the witness" with Harrison Ford. The movies plays within an amish community, and their language can be very well heard in the English version ( I only know the English version).
