Got tired? Relax drinking a cup of English tea:
[Linked Image]

Are you hungry? Have a cream tea !! It`s a scone with clotted cream and marmalade on it, you have it with a cup of tea and it`s very yummie
[Linked Image]

In the evening you can go to a pub:
[Linked Image]

In the morning you can have a typical English breakfast to have a lovely start into the next day
[Linked Image]

English breakfast is: eggs, sausages, tomatos, mushrooms, bacon (all fried in a pan), baked beans in tomao sauce, some slices of toastbread and possibly some chips(french fries)...very yummie

I hope you have a nice day visiting England!

Bye, Hap

Hey, you guys go on and catch up with Happy and Ubereil in London. I think I will
catch a later flight. I still want to see some of the art stuff around here. I
would have loved to have seen the International Folk Festival that was held
in Wexford and the Music Festival or Art Festival in Galway

[Linked Image] [Linked Image] [Linked Image]

And Gal, since I don't drink I don't feel cheated that you and Jurak slipped off
to the pubs without me. My shopping trip was alot more fun. Wow, did I find
some great stuff. Look at some of the things I bought.

[Linked Image] [Linked Image] [Linked Image] [Linked Image]

Email to Ubereil -> Hold up in London. Will join you there soon. Glad you could
arrange your schedule so that you could join us. Shan

Email to Happy -> Hi, Happy. Glad you decided to join us. Will meet you in
London soon. Maybe I'll catch up with you at the art museum. Shan

Got to run now and book that plane reservation.

Okay Shan, where shall we pick you up? Will you fly to London? Or to Birmingham? Bristol?
[Linked Image]
I think i`ll fly to Birminham (in the Midlands) anyway to visit my aunt. She`s German, but she`s living one hour away from Birmingham with her husband. The village she lives in is called Bishop`s Frome, a very tiny, little village still looking like "good old England". I can`t go on a trip to England without visiting her!
20 minutes away from Bishop`s Frome is Worcester , where the famous "Worcester Sauce" comes from.

[Linked Image]

This is the "Union Jack", the flag of Great Britain.
"The Union Jack is a combination (union) of the flags of St George, St Andrew and St Patrick. The flag of St George is white with a red cross. [Linked Image] The flag of St Andrew is blue with a white diagonal cross [Linked Image] and the flag of St Patrick is white with a red diagonal cross. [Linked Image]
The flag is normally called the Union Jack because it represents a union of countries — England, Ireland, and Scotland and Wales (although the current flag does not include a flag from the latter*).
*The national flag of Wales is a red dragon on a background of white and green. Wales is not represented in the Union Flag because when the first version of the flag appeared Wales was already united with England, but the Welsh flag is in widespread use throughout that country."
Read more about it here .

Oh, there you are, Shan, I got worried where you could have been. You see, I got on that plane to London because they had some businessclass seats available for the price of economy.
Is it oke if we wait for you in Westminster Abbey ?
In the meantime, Happy and me are gone shopping for souvenirs.
[Linked Image]
Covent Garden Market [Linked Image]
We are passing a museum of natural history museum and since I'm very fascinated I'm going in. [Linked Image] I think Hap is a bit tired, but don't worry we can see the Dickens House Museum [Linked Image] and there you can rest for a while. Charles Dickens lived here in the time he wrote Oliver Twist . Let's read the story and in the meantime, we can rest.
Pheew, this is very tiring... but sooo fascinating!

But hey, I tickets and that is what counts.

[Linked Image]

I think that I will skip the Chamber of Horrors tour. lol.

Instead I'm going to see jewels!! [Linked Image]
The crowns and treasures associated with the British Monarchy are powerful symbols of monarchy for the British people and, as such, their value represents more than gold and precious stones. Today the crowns and treasures used for the coronation of monarchs of the United Kingdom are kept in the Tower of London. The crowns and regalia used by Scottish monarchs (the Honours of Scotland) and Princes of Wales (the Honours of the Principality of Wales) continue to have symbolic meaning in Scotland and Wales. All three collections of treasures can be viewed today in their different locations - the Tower of London, Edinburgh Castle and the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff.

Well, after London, I don't care what you guys do. I am going to see
Stonehenge. I didn't come all this way to England to miss out on that. I would
love for you to come with me, but I know some people don't enjoy things like
this. I've just gotta see it though.

[Linked Image]

This ancient monument of huge stones solitarily standing on the Salisbury Plain in
Wiltshire, England has captured imaginations for centuries. Theories about who
built it have included the Druids, Greeks, Phoenicians, and Atlanteans.
Speculation on the reason it was built range from human sacrifice to astronomy.

Investigations over the last 100 years have revealed that Stonehenge was built in
several stages from 2800 - 1800 BC. It seems to have been designed to allow for
observation of astronomical phenomena - summer and winter solstices, eclipses, and
more.

Ah, come on, Lady Sarah, you really don't want to miss Madam Tussauds' Chamber
of Horrors, do you? You can see old jewels anytime, but the Chamber of Horrors,
now that is really cool.

How about a trip to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

We will definitely have to go to the theatre!

Then we have to go out to the coast to see the White Cliffs of Dover and watch the ships.

http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/questions/cliffs.gif

The White Cliffs of Dover are internationally famous. The ‘Gateway to the White Cliffs’ visitor centre has spectacular views and introduces the visitor to five miles of coast and countryside through imaginative displays and interpretation. Much of the chalk downland along the clifftops is an SSSI, AONB and Heritage Coast with interesting flora and fauna, and the visitor centre is an excellent place for watching the world’s busiest shipping lanes.

Wait for me Shan, I would love to see Stonehenge!! If we can, I would like to do some witchcraft. That is always been my dream, to be a witch and dance around the ancient stones.
[Linked Image]
Hi Jurak, don't worry, if that mist in your head cleares up, I will take you to
[Linked Image] this pub if you like. So many choices, you will not get out of here for the next 2 days! But this round is on you. If you get lost try to find your way back with this virtual pub guide But do you remember you were singing "Humpty Dumpty"? On the table in the middle of that pub? And you say I'm wild??
Lews, you can drive us, when easter and christmas falls together on the same day! I thought you were only 14 years? Maybe, you can drive the carriage?
Lady Sarah, don't go to that horrorshow if you don't like it, I'm with you. I still want to sleep after my visit to London.
Maybe you can join me and Shan for that witchcraft? We still need some more witches. Don't forget your broomsticks!
When it's very clear weather, we can see the white cliffes from all the way of Belgium.
If no one is against it, I hope we can take this [Linked Image] and go to Schotland? I would love to see the homeland of Braveheart.
Just let me now if you guys are ready, maybe we can stay a bit longer in England? This time w'll wait for everyone to join.
Jurak, don't forget, have your last pint yesterday, so you will be on time tommorrow!!

@ Ubereil -> No, Manchester United shirt, gottcha. I picked up cute London
sweatshirt at the airport, so I'll just wear it. I don't want to miss out on the
Chamber of Horrors just because of some old shirt.

@ Gal -> You got it. I'll wait for you and we'll head over to Stonehenge together.
I've never tried any witchcraft, but as long as you know what you are doing I'll
give it a try if you're sure aliens are allowed. I've even got a broomstick.

(Shan runs to the closet, pulls out the broomstick and wipes the cobwebs from
it. Outside she looks at it closely, turns it over and around and over again. Not
finding any clue she says to herself "Now which way does this thing go." After
trying it a few different ways she decides to put the straw part to the back,
climbs on, holds to the handle and says "OK, I'm ready let's go," but the broom
does nothing. She climbs off looks at it again and says "Well, this thing has no
key to crank it with, so how am I suppose to get it started." After examing it a
few more minutes she cries "Hey, Gal, I have no idea how to fly this thing.
Think you can teach me? )

And sure we can catch the carriage thing or funny car or whatever to Scotland. I
would love to go there next, but there is still some places I want to see in
England before we move on.

Anybody know of any old English legends we might check out as long as we don't
have to get there by broomstick?
