The thing what makes it a grate place are the people and that they keep going through all that and even succeed in making it a good place to live in.

But what I ment with being proud of your motherland is being proud of what we have. We have beautiful cities, old buildings and castles. We have a history that is one of the older in the world. We have a statue of Ambiorix, known for being the bravest of Gaules (I hope that's correct?). We are known for our fries and our beer. For our kind of humour...these are the things you must be proud of. These things are not artificial, but real and very attractive. Try to see it from this point of view, Seth? Please??
