Look here. In the red square is where Africa ajoins Asia. The Sinai dessert. Where Egypt borders Israël.

Antartica is an "island". Below the ice is rock.
Some consider it to be a continent.
The north pole is not an island. It's just ice, "floating" on the water.
That's why subs can dive under the north pole but not under the south pole.

Yeah, and there, where in this map are the "Gulf of Suez" and the "Gulf of Aqaba" there are Earth Fault Lines, where the earth's crust spreads. Therefore earthquakes are to experience there.

(With the first Gulf I'm sure, but not 100% with the second ... it could be instead the Gulf on the other side of Saudi-Arabia, not shown on the map.

So that makes Africa a peninsula, right?

The Arctic is not a continent or island because there is no land there. Greenland, Northern Russia, Northern Canada, and other Northern European countries are in the Arctic region, but are part of other continents.

Which continent is Greenland a part of?

Hi DATD <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's not about colonies, but continents.
That seems to be confusing enough. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

And the gulf of Suez is the (newly dug) reason Asia and Africa aren't joined...

Actually, it's about Tempo saying hello.

I think it's interesting that Greenland belongs to Denmark. Just as Australia belongs to England.
