Oceania is not a continent, it is a region containing most West and South Pacific islands. There are also island countires to the East and South of Australia that are included.

Australia is one of the continents: North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and Antarctica. It is also an island as the entirety of Australia is surrounded by water. You cannot leave the country without crossing water.

Thinking of it: Australia is a continent! And if it IS an island, then Africa SHOULD be an island too.

Edit: and thinking of it, Australia is still the smallest continent <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.

Australia is the smallest continent, just behind Europe. Africa isn't an island because it ajoins the Middle East. I'm not sure about Antarctica. It appears to be an island.
