After I get all the council members together and hit the gong to open the portal and I go through the portal I am transported to a black area that does not show up on the map. I cant move or do anything and Im just wondering what the heck is going on??????????

Put the play CD in an optical drive. No-CD hacks can not handle the video on the play CD shown during the blessing ceremony, or at the end of the game.

BTW, if you check the mini or auto map, you are just north of the council hall.

I have the same problem. What do you mean when saying "optical drive"? The CD-Rom?

Correct. 'Optical drive' is a general term for any drives that use lasers to read a disk, and includes CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW and DVD-RW drives.
