talk about hype, guys, i can attest to that. i think i may be the only one who prefers Westwood's C&C games to Blizzard's (whatever)-Craft though many may point out so many logical advantages Blizzard has over Westwood. the most important thing to me is FUN factor. doesn't matter if it's gorgeous or finely balanced & impossible hard to win (therefore to say the AI is superior?). all i want in games are fun.
& hype killed C&C games (particularly Tiberian Sun) in ways that people expect too much which of course no game can ever overcome.
i have yet to play Fable & for my own sake since i love RPG, i hope Fable for pc will turn out right. as for KOTOR's slow loading, i fail to see that happen to me on my mediocre Athlon 1800+ with 384MB RAM. & for KOTOR2, it loads even faster. i barely even fart (& that's another story) that i have my savegame loaded. KOTOR's faults (if i am to nitpick) are too few quests (they may be standard fare but not as boring, i felt) & too few worlds to explore plus the sometimes clunky movements. KOTOR 2 has even less problems with much much more great thing in it. if u want RPG that makes u think with quests not typical plus not wrong/right with plenty of grey areas, KOTOR 2 is it. sadly lucas arts rushed it so much that obsidian couldn't finish the last part as well as they liked. still it is the best RPG so far i've played & i'm not talking about RPGs only for this year or the last. one of the best ever.
sad about Fable's over-hype but Peter Moleynoux should've learnt to shut up & only speak when it's advantagous. i love that guy's games but he shouldn't brag. not when it's too soon. this is why i always cautioned Larians to take care not to over-hype when it's too early to do so.
@ death -> thanks for the heads-up. i'll try KUF demo as soon as i download it.
