My friend wasn't offended by anything prejudice or
anything like that.
They felt unwelcome because they got several chastising
PM's sent to them directly.
That's a whole different story than something posted.
It was deliberately sent to them.

I think this forum is great!

But you all must admit negative personal PM's sent to
someone directly is a bit unfriendly.
True, maybe it was all taken out of context...
However,example:
How many of you have had a boyfriend, girlfriend, or spouse?
How many times have they taken what you said out
of context?

Again, hey, I'm not coming down on any one.
I just care about those who I consider my friends.

And I would react the same exact way if it happened to
any one of you.

& yes, u're brave in bringing this issue out but i'm wondering if it helps, especially all these going-ons are shadowy in nature. we're talking about PMs & though we managed to console & convince the affected member of the forum, he/she are still as susceptible to the PMs. the only true course of effectiveness is either

1. take action by reporting it to Lynn, or
2. block the offending person's PM & ignore his/her future posts/PMs which might scath the affected member.

whatever it is, the affected member is the one who has the power to do something about this. the rest of us can only guess what's coming up (or not) next & speculate some more. other than that, we can promote general well-being of the forum but this underlying issue can't be tackled by us. at least not in conventional ways.

@ the affected member -> please know that at least i am on your side so don't leave, ok?

It was a very cool summer this year. I think were barely pushed 40°C (104°F) in Melbourne. Normally we get up to 45°C (113°F) at least for a few days.

Hi,

I'll start by saying this forum is a great place, and you are all great persons. I never posted on a regular basis, but I DO read most of the posts here quite often.

Lately, I've been reading a lot on the Guild Wars forums and I must say, this is by far a much better place. Most posts here are intelligent and fun to read. Also, the atmosphere is a lot more welcoming in here. The first time I posted on this forum, I got some nice and funny replies. On the Guild Wars Vault, I did 5 or so posts, and no one replied, no one bothered to welcome me because no one cares.

I know I always come and go, but everytime I came back here I never got the impression that I'm not welcome.

While I have no idea who you are talking about Tsel, I am quite sure I read some of his/her posts. In my opinion, everyone here gave a little something to make this place so friendly, and I don't want anyone to leave.

That's my thoughts on the subject. Maybe I'll post again soon, maybe not <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> but one thing's sure, even if you don't see me, I'm here. I am a ninja after all, like a shadow.
