this is not because one religious leader death is overmediatised that all religious leaders (from other religions) deaths should be overmediatised...
and i must say i'm more shocked about the "no mediatisation" of immigration (and not only islam) in our culture than with the "no mediatisation" of the death of one religious leader or another... but that's another problem, IMHO.

anyway the main reason i opened this topic was because this pope had a reput out of the church as much as in the church which is not the case of the main european islam or judaism leaders... I'm not even sure it was the case from ayatollah khomeyni by example whom the dath was IIRC well overmediatised... (maybe not to this point because it is still true Teheran is not Rom for an european and especially for an european journalist but still...)
