if i ever find out who lies to me, firstly i will be like most people; hurt. secondly, i will be more careful around this person who lied to me. but i will not push him/her away totally. in the past i might. but no more as i learn to be more observant & forgiving (but i'm not perfect). after all, i lied before & i suspect that being human, i may lie again in the future. who knows? so who am i to condemn when i am also more than capable in lying?
i will do my best to forgive & ask the person why he/she has to lie. of course another big thing; if that person is not sorry for it, how can i forgive?
Very well said, Jags. This could be bad you know. You are starting to sound like
me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> But what you said is so true. None of us are perfect, and can any of us
say that we have never told a lie in our entire life. Not me. I have told some,
and like you I will probably find myself at some point doing it again. Why?
because I am just human and humans make mistakes. And no matter how hard we try
not to we are going to make mistakes.
If a person is not sorry for it, how can i forgive? You forgive because in your
heart you know that somewhere within that person there is some good and you
want to draw on that good instead of letting the bad in a person eat you alive.
We all need to learn to be more forgiving of each others' faults. Isn't that
what friendship is all about being there for one another through the good times
and the bad times and forgiving each other when things go wrong. I for one want
to learn to be a loving, caring and forgiving person no matter what is done to
me. So yes even if a person is not sorry for what they have done, I will forgive
and I will not turn my back on them.
