to the french, Barta & Guroth -> no prob. we love u as u are & we can assume as much as we want as well. MUAHIHIHIHI!!! (laughs like german girls)

@ Guroth -> yes, in a long show it can be disturbing. but people who can see how u walk & talk can tell more about u than u can about yourself.

maybe this thread is more of a 'How I See Myself'. so in writng about who u are, u get to learn how u look at yourself. & improvise from there. all it takes is realisation plus humility to take it all in & turn the sour milk to cheese.

I also would like to tell you some more about me.
I'm a girly taurus born in the late '70. My father is French and my mother is German.
They both have a lot of mixed blood in them. Maybe that is why I'm interested in different cultures.
In case no one noticed I'm very much in to elfs, fairies, unicorns and other type of fantasy creatures, I love Native American stuff and my favo animal is a white and brown mustang.
I'm a big fighter for women's rights, that makes me a feminist, huh?
I don't like racists, liars, radicalists and fanatics, everything where too much is too much.
I learned English pretty much on my own, soo don't you mind me making some hughe mistakes. I like getting pm's from friendly people and I think I can say I've made some nice friends on this forum. Wich is btw my very first forum.
I don't intend to visit other forums, I'm happy where I am and I hope I can stick around for a very long time.
Oh yes, before I forget, I'm addicted to all kinds of potatoe-chips. Yummie!!!
That's about it there is to know about me.

Since I have nothing better to do I'll try to trow something together about myself.

I live in Orebro, Sweden. I'm seventeen years old, goes to school (Karolinska skolan, Nature scientific program). I play piano (with a teacher) and play in an amateur football (soccer) team. Together with reading, listening to music and playing computer games (preferrablly rpg's, but I allso enjoy football (still soccer) games, and various other games) that is what fills up my time. And of course all the other obvious things like eating and sleeping. I don't have many friends to see, and the once I have I meet rarelly. I'm not very social.

As a person I am very reserved, due to shyness. And lack of confidence. I rarelly talk. I like to talk, it's just that I'm no good at it. Maybe that's why I enjoy it so much, when I do talk. Which is rarelly. I never seem to figure out what to say and then gather enough courage to say it before the moment has passed. For the same reasons I'm hopeless when it comes to takeing initiative.

I believe that every human, man or woman, black or white, straight or gay, ritch or poor, is equal, and therefore should have the same opportunities to do what they want with their lives. I allso believe in the saying "Instead of curseing the darkness, light a candle" (frelly translated from a Terry Pratchett book). Then again, I neither believe I have any candles nor anything to light them with. I believe pepole may look and dress however they whant (myself I don't have any clotheing style at all. As long as I don't look and smell like I spend the night at the city dump I'm satisfied). I believe in science. I like the Simpsons, South Park, chockolate (sp? And I rarelly eat sweets. It's not that I don't like it, far from. It's just that it's never avaliable...), the Larian forums (the only place where I feel like I belong, and the only place where I feel I can say things and not feel like an idiot afterwards), music (espessially singing, I'm not very good at it anymore though ), squeesing my pimples (I know, I just can't help it ), and probablly loads of other things I can't think of right now. I don't like racism of any kind, cabbage pudding, being bad at things I like, idiots (normally pepole who picks at others who is not as cool/good/whatever as themselves) and loads of other stuff I can't think of right now (and obvious things like haveing a headache, not being able to sleep, haveing blisters in my mouth and other things I'll have to live with).

Well that's pretty much it, I guess.

@galadriel : Look out for the book "why men are the way they are" by Warren Farrel, if you can get it. It heavily influenced me.

@Übereil : I'm quite astonished that you write you don't talk that much (or have I misunderstood this ?), because here you are quite talkative.

I'm quite shy as well, but only in environments I don't know or don't know how to consider. Among friends, *good* friends, everything's gone.

I've gained some sort of respect in earlier times because I was still and quiet most of the times. I listened more than I was talking, and it turned out when I *was* talking, I had something more or less important to say. Why don't you try it the same way ?

Today, I'm a bit different now. I still have problems with my self-confidence, but just now I have great fun placing my opinion everywhere and not caring about what the people might think about me !

It's very ... refreshing, this feeling, to be able to freely speak about what I mean. I never would've thought it could be so much fun !

Mostly, however, I'm very diplomatic. Maybe a bit too much, Maybe that's the reason why I like saying what I think.

@ube, you surpriced me by tellling more about you!

something more about me,

i'm almost 30, and that's one of my biggest fears.(i get over it when i'm 31 )
i'm a sci-fi freak.
i collect dvd box sets of complete scifi series.
like startrek TOS,TNG, DS9, VOY , battlestar galactica, babylon5.
next bowsets (when i have some mony that is...) is farscape, buck rogers, and the star trek enterprice.

i use to work at BP (british petrol) were i had the same work as homer simpson has. doing nothing and push some random buttons in a control room.
now i'm still in the chemical business at tessenderlo group

i cannot plan ahead of me,
i take what is proposed to me this day.
example,
2 of my friends went 1 month to new zealand, if you live in Belgium, that's the other side of the world.
but i didn't knew that, until i called one of the guy's.
he said that in 2 days he was signing his travel contract (papers, tickets etc..)
i said to him "mmm sound nice, can i come with you?"
he laught, thought that i was kidding.
the next day, i took a mounth vacation at work, and went with my friends to antwerp so sign the contract.
that trip costed alot of money, but i din't care.
it's was one of those dissisions you make "one the fly"

i'm not easyly made angry.
and if i am..give me some time, like an houre, everything is back OK!
i mostely don't care about discussions, i see -> they mostely alway's end with a fight (in words or fists)

i LOVE womon,
no... i realy love almost all of them!
i always pleases the woman , make them confortable, relax, and listen too them

I do things on my own.
it's hard for me to have long relations.(>1,5 years)
you alway's have to put some "water in the wine"
-> no one of my relationships ended with an big fight/argument

i love blues music, but every genre has it's beauties!
i hate commercializations (sp), call me a kind of anti-globalist.
i hate MSN, it's anti social (whoa? anyone?)
i hate computers,
i love computers, (aaargh)
i love myself, and i'm the most beautifull man in the world! ( )
i love (to mutch) food, it's beter then sex! (if you could only combine the two of them... )
i'm a funny man, period!

i'm going to stop right here, because i hate to type for an houre!

Well, i guess i am known to more the older people (old as in memeber number) around here...but...here goes.
I live in Canada, have dual Canadain/ Irish citizenship. Live in two cities in Alberta. (Work in one, commute to the other during weekends) It is very tiring, but rewarding. I am lead of my job, working with engineering drawings, for the biggest oil extractor in Canada.
Mid twenties. Single, and right now, plan to stay that way.
I pretty much now only work to travel. Went overseas for the first time last year, and, well, it pretty much changed my life i guess. Europeans take their histroy for granted! My province is only about 200 years old...so...you can imagine what it was like to walk around in places in the UK and Ireland, and see this amazing artwork, books, architecture etc. It was everything out of my history books, i stood in the Tower of London and almost cried! All my family there could not understand how i could spend all day wondering in a castle. Now, i plan to go again after i am done my contract up North. Mind you, i do have the Rockie Mountains not very far away (well, what us North American's call not very far) and, i still love them.
I fully admit i am a nerd. Listen to Jazz/classical music. Love history, historical fiction and fantasy books.
Have red hair, blue eyes, am average height and weight i guess.
That is it i guess.

It's because here I have time to figure out what I want to say, and then even more time to figure out how to say it. In real life I have about half a second, then somebody else hav said something that casts the situation in an entirelly new light, so what I was about to say just doesn't fit in anymore.

And I allso have no/minor problems talking to my friends. Security, I guess. I've allways been afraid of doing wrong, most times too afraid to dare to do right. With my friends I don't possess that fear (it feels like no matter what I say, it can't be wrong. That's how it feels here too).

This is how I've seen myself too, but in school when I say something I consider more or less important, the whole conversation stops, and pepole don't look at me. One reason I'm allways quiet in school (getting better though, starting to point out useless and secure things, one day I might even dare to say not so pointless and not so secure things. And probablly that day is like two days before we graduate, and I'll never see them again ). I'm allso working on not careing about pepoles view on me. It was much easier as a kid, you just acted, you never thought abnout the concequenses .

Hm, I think the contradiction is, that people *normally* tend to eat what they like not rarely, but rather very often !

Wow! this is a good one. Alrik and Ubereil both right about the same thing.

Chocolate, yummmmmmmmm!!!! I love chocolate.

Ubereil, I get what you mean. Don't let them confuse you. Two great minds
on the same thrack here (yours and mine). What you are saying is that you
rarely eat chocolate, but when you do eat it, you like it. No, nothing wrong
with that at all.

You do good, because like Alrik said when we like something normally we tend to
eat it very often. I love Thai food (especially Pad Kee Mao) and I eat it every
chance I get.

Here is a little about me.

I’m a female in the early twenties, a sciences student heading for a career in the ecology/biology/zoology domain. I loooove that field.
I live in Canada, in the Quebec province, and my natural language is french. Surprised?
I lived in a few cities in the province, and most always moved from a northern place to a southerner one. I travelled a lot around the Quebec, and know it quite good, but did not really travel elsewhere.

I love:
Nature. Surprised again?
My origins and the part of country I belong to. ( Remind me to come and read this back in february, please... )
To learn and try. And I’m a gifted child on that point since I’ve some ease at it, and have been lucky enough to see a lot of things until now.
Things that make me wonder and think.
Graphic & visual arts. Been lucky enough to try a lot of mediums, from the giant ice sculpture to the chinese calligraphy, passing by painting, photography, drawing and computer graphics. I stuck to the last ones.

I think that:
We can learn as much from kids than they do from us.
Respect is one of the greatest virtues, and that everything else should begin by it.
Differences and diversity are an invaluable richness.
We only have power on ourselves, our actions and opinions/attitudes/reactions.
The origin and the path are as important, if not more, than the destination.

I hate:
... I try not to hate.
That doesn’t mean some things don’t disgust me, though.

Ok, you’ve had enough for today. Now, wake up!

Fille
