Just wanted to let you know that I had not let down what I was doing for Manatopia. I haven't lost interest in the story; I've just been very busy lately and thus couldn't advance much.
And you, the rest of the people, where are you at?

And it's clear that some people really want to go on.

If the people that want to go on already get it started. Others will/can join in later.
But it's no use sitting around, looking at eachother, wondering who's gonna post first.
Get it started and then see how it evolves.

Agreed. If there's nothing to bounce off yet, make something. It doesn't matter if you don't fit in immediately, you can work your way in which will make an interesting story in itself.

I suggest you make a decision - as writer in a multi-author story you should be like a member of an emergency room team - committed to keep the patient alive.

{And before any complain - yes, this is not my story concept, and yes, I did not commit myself with a character (because I am committed to OTRA, which is running since 22 Mar 2004 without interruption and still moving on). But this concept here has so much potential, and is so open, that it would be sad to see it die}

The problem would be that the setting would be different, and most likely not Manatopia.

Apart from that ... I have still slight problems with my imagination ... I somehow can't imagine the Manatopia world ... it's so different from ours ...

This crossed my mind too last week. I've always found this time of year is too busy for many, mostly because of exams. Lets see what I can do...

actually i have written something in regards to Manatopia (sent it to Draggy for perusal) but it's mnore of a political situation & has very high potential to be of global proportion which means i may have touched one kingdom too many in terms of influence & change. also i have quite a few characters in play at the same time.

definitely not according to the rules of Manatopia but i can run it in parallel to it.
