Barta, give Linux a try
Is there an interest of a translation in other languages (dutch, french, ...) ?
If somebody will translate my description I can publish it on my site !

About trying Linux, is there a good way to do it (without sacrifiseing that Win XP pro which you payed just the heck of a lot of money for)?

The easiest way to try Linux without repartitioning your hard drive (or adding another) would probably be to use a distribution that boots directly off of a CD. Some of these can use a USB key drive to store settings. CD-based Linux Distributions and Live Linux CDsSome versions of Linux can also be installed to a file on your hard drive, so no repartitioning is needed, though this does require a bit more elabourate setup and tweaking. In Mandrake, for example, there is an option in the partition utility (advanced mode) to create a file and use it as a loopback device (the file acts as a virtual Linux partition). Near the end of the install there is an option to set up a boot manager, which you can have written to a floppy (assuming you have a floppy drive) rather than your hard drive, so you can boot the computer with the floppy inserted to either get a boot menu or go straight to Linux, or without the floppy to boot into Windows.

Yes i can help you for a translation in french. This would be great ! Send me the translated text in a PM or mail, I will put it on my website and notify you if it is ready Can you please add a note that any request for support should only in English or German because my language skill in French is zero And I must agree with Raze: It is quite easy. Burn a CD or DVD with a Live Linux System, I prefer Knoppix, reboot your system and boot from CD / DVD. The big advantage of a Live Linux System is: You can backup / restore / repair (in most cases) your whole windows system without booting it

Hi Xanlosch
Sorry for being late but i had a lot of work during the last weeks. I have finished the translation but i want to read it again. I will send it to you in a mail tomorrow. I guess that there would be a problem with the links.
