I hear and understand what you are saying, and I do love the older graphics games, but you know that it is only a matter of time before graphics improve on computers.
Can you imagine if a new game, say like DD2, was published today with graphics that looked like that of the Win 3.1 era; it would be a slight disappointment to me?

I hear ya...all for improvement, just thinking though that I only just upgraded my computer a few months ago and will soon need to again. But then I didn't really go top of the range with my upgrade.
I like games that can still look good on lowerend machines and still play well. I still have to play doom 3 at low settings after my upgrade. Runs well enough, I'm well above the min specs, but might need to get another g card yet again.
