[color:"orange"] The point, for me, rather is that Man not only has the capability to recognize the consequences, but even to make a realistic prognisis for the future. [/color]
[color:"pink"] But we have become more conscious of actions like these and actions that previously were trained instinct have become a conscious thought in most people nowadays.
Meaning they know better and choose instead of it being a knee jerk reaction.

One thing here: the progresses in human moralty, mentality, thoughts, conciousness, etc. are far slower than the technical ones. Also, science and technique are sponsored, and thus directed by the economic powers; and the ones making use of it are often not the best ones to forsee the consequences. In the present system, economy is greatly what rules the actions/decisons; the consequences don't weight so much in the decision balance. It brings to my mind the idea of a five years old kid playing with a loaded gun. Also, human learns more from the effects, when it's done and that they're stuck with the consequences of their actions. That brought, and still brings horrible episodes. As for prognosis, they're not so reliable/not much considered; think about climate change & global warming.
For those who think mankind will/would/could evolve though technology; how do you see it? What would happen of the organic nature ("life" as we know it), physical environment? Would man use science/technique to restore or modify? To repair, to prevent or to change?

15 minutes to type? it's not that much; come on, type it again, I'm sure it's worth it. But do it with Word or something like that, and save it every minute this time to be sure not to lose it.
