Hi there, I finally took some pics of our chickens, but of course they are all grown up now. But we bought some new species to add to the collection.
Don't look at the small spaces or the rubbish, once we are moved (half way november) they will have a big piece of the garden to play around.
Aracauna breed:this breed is from the Peru Indians and has the lowest cholesterol in their eggs. When you look at their heads, you can see that the head is rather big for that body, but that is because it's a fight breed. But we only keep them for their eggs of course.
Cuzco, the Peruvian Rooster
Cochin breed: These supposed to be kind animals, but instead they are picking at each other a lot. But later we will put some bunnies in the garden, they divert the chickens by their hopping and playing. We are also thinking of taking a little goat, that way we have lots of pretty animals and my son will love to feed them. And you don't have soo much kitchen leftovers anymore, the Aracauna breed eat letterly everything!
Hollandse krielen: this breed is from Holland and is one of the smallest race in chickens. They have tiny eggs but they taste soo good. Very tolerant species towards other animals, and easy to make use to your hands.
I hope you liked those pics, and once we are moved, I will try to make some pics of the new chicken/bunny hotel
