And why is that? That's just one of the biggest problems of the EU. The EU is something that happens over our heads. The only time we hear about the EU is when they come forward with yet another rule (to make life harder useally).
People see the EU as a big political organisation that exist far from reality. The EU never tried to get close to people. People don't know about it. Just that it costs us lots of money, and most are upset enough about that.
One woman on Dutch tv said: "If I voted yes, what would happen? If I voted no, what would happen? What do we have to do with EU?"
Typical... and something those EU politicians should spend more attention on.
