I think that the fact that a large portion 'fog of war' in the Wastelans is revealed to you, is a bad idea. I'm guessing that its there to help you find out where you need to go. If so, I think they should reduce the revealed area to a small area in the marshes.

I say this because I personally use the 'fog of war' to indicate what I have arleady beaten/uncovered/cleared-out/etcetera. It's a nice indicator that I suggest be used to all who are new to this type of rpg. 'Where should I go next? To the 'fog of war' bloches on my map! Where are some monsters I might of missed? Those same areas!'

So, in short, I just think that in the next patch, one thing to be done is to reduce the revealed area in the wastelands.

Killerzzz

P.S.: 'Fog of war' means the black-covered spots on your map... you know just for you guys (and gurls) who don't know...

P.S.S.: GO Divine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> !!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

In DD, and less so in BD, I eventually started rejecting equipment with sight bonuses, because that made it harder to keep track of where I had explored.

I'd like to see a two-toned fog of war in DD2 (and in general). Areas where your character can see are half obscured by a grey fog, while only areas that have been shown on screen get completely cleared.

I second that it is a great idea. Sort of like those good old war-strategy games like... am I allowed to refer to other compagnies' games on forums? Well I'm sure you know what I mean: the games where you build a base and attack another one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Yea, Yea. The real-time strategy games. Thats the fog of war that we're all hoping on for Divine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2. And I'm allowed to say other games in this forum!

Hehehe...

Fog of war in games like Red Alert (or C&C) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> , and Starcraft <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />, also Age of Empires <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />. Ah, anyhow yea thats the type.

I'd also like to take this oportunity to pat myself on the back for making my most popular thread yet: Three whole different people replied! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />
