Know what would be nice in future games like Divine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2? The choice to be one of the 7 races! Each one could have its own specialty. It doesn't even have to replace the classes either (so there could be Imp Warriors, Orc Warriors, etcetera).
It would also be nice if the dialogue and way people react to you will be affected by your race. There could even be racisms (like an Elf in a Dwaven area and vise versa, or an Orc in a Human area and vise versa, etcetera). People could say nicer or meaner things to you. People could have a much lower or higher friendliness level. Many things. Much fun! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> Even more, if you prove yourself to someone who was racist against your race, and you work with/for him/her and gain trust, they could say something like <Dwarf: "I guess I missjudged you, Elf. You're not so bad after all!">.
Oh, the possibilities! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> All the wonderful possibilities!
There could even be a specialized race quest line (you know, a groupe of quests only for a certain race - for example: "You are an Orc, and the Humans are attacking one of your encampments. Go help them!" or "An Orc again, why is your race at war with the Humans? Why has your chieftian suddenly taken on a bloodlust? You should investigate at what his motives really are and see if the humans really attacked first. They didn't have any reason to, and he (your chieftiean) has been acting very oddly lately..."
