Yes, theft would suit a halfling well, or a goblin. In other rpgs that I've played the max of a skill that one can reach is really determined by the class only. It would be nice if the race was taken into accound also. That would make the character more unique <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />.

I think it would depend on the story. I'd imagine, that if the players say, got the choice of being good or evil, like in "Might and Mgic 7", evil being a deathknight, maybe one of the the main goal would be to save the baby or something. Then, afterwards, carry the baby safely to a "secret" place where it can be raised and summoned. Plus, as a deathknight we'd get to explore places other than the Rivellon (including the Wastelands) as we know it, and vise versa. That would just be awesome.
