that u will miss them while u are there? afraid that they may change to someone u may no longer know when u are there? afraid that u may change to someone u or they may no longer know when u are there? that things move on & people live on without u when u are no longer there? are u afraid of change? how much do u want to stay the same?

i have many friends who studied abroad & came back very different from before. at first i was resentful for the change & that they are no longer close to me or in the same wavelength. that plus some more things made me resist change aggresively. so much so that i change without knowing it into someone i no longer know.

change is something we cannot avoid. it's already almost impossible to have ourselves remain the same so what more to say about other people. change will come. the only control we have is the way we deal with it. <- ode to faile, whose words ring very true in one of the threads.
