@ Ube -> u win some, u lose some. since u're young, let's see which one of us is right - in 5 year's time, u end up with nobody or with a great friend (maybe girlfriend?).

acquaintance is somebody u just know casually but a friend is one who will stick to u no matter what. that what can mean that u may have turn to a bad person, or did something seriously wrong or whatever. this friend may be angry with u for doing such evil stuff yet he/she will stand by u. he/she knows u well yet won't condemn u for it & somehow see the goodness in u though others may not see it.

at this point of time, i no longer ask what friends can do for me but what i can do for them.

@ Gal -> don't let that stop u from having friendship that may last a lifetime. know that i experienced something similar (though not as bad as yours) so i can understand your pain a bit.
