In the Mississippi ? Hm, I thought Alligators were there ...

Shark attacks ... I read that the reason is that they mistake humans swimming on these waverider boards (where they stand on) with seals. From an underwater point of view, they have a very similar shape.

Muddy waters hm? (a fine song by Nick Cave...) As far as I know the river is not for swiming indeed. But it is lovely to view isn't it? A nice spot for reading is really a very good choice! Have fun.

Good news: ÖSK won again <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />! And it was at home, so I was there to see it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />! THEY WERE GREAT! They met a team that hadn't lost in seven games, and who was placed third i the league, and that team had no chance! It finnished 2-1, but the oppnents really only had one chance in the whole game. And in the second half they hardly never had the ball, because ÖSK never let them have it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />. Allsvenskan, here we come!

is it flash flood? maybe next time u can fix some kind of barrier on all doors that lead to outside. maybe about 1 foot high, u line bricks then cement them in place so water can't go in.

If you mean by "flashflood" a sudden unexpected flood, yes, then it is one. The water got all over my house in a matter of minutes.

I can assure you, my sister, it doesn't only LOOK awful, it IS awful and it smells awful too. Now we are three days later (it happened on the 4th of july) and my house still smells humid. I hope this was a one-time thing, because like I hate to clean, I did nothing else but cleaning for 2/5 days, and I'm still doing that now. Everything needs to be scrubbed and polished and dried and washed. It's amazing how water can be your friend and your enemy.
Lucky, there was only material damage, there are no casualties and I had my son and my dog back after three days. I had them evacuated with the firemen. Just in case...
But one of my colleagues runs a large chicken farm, and the lightning had struck the stables, 18.000 14-day-old chickens are smoked to dead. That is the second big loss after the bird plague. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />
