Of course we can, and we do too, but the school arranged for a "grandparentsday" and then the grandparents have to come to the school. And they specificly asked to the parents not to come in their place. Good News: back to work today .... is that Good News ?
Bad News: went back to work to day with a Migraine which lasted all day and I was finally able to drag my sorry "behind" home to get some darkness and rest after which the Migraina was gone .... this is Bad new ?

Bad news: I got a hint from someone so I could drink red wine again, I did what she told me to do, and had 1/2 glass of wine. The same night and the day after, I had such an allergic reaction to it, I thought my head was gonna blow up!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />
(piece of advice to myself: Don't you ever drink red wine again!!!! )
Another bad news: I burned my wrist at work today, some hot steam came out and got me on the inside of my wrist <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />
Good news: a teacher from school saw my website and was very much surprised by it (what 'only' a cleaning woman is capable of, right? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> )
If this counts as good news: I've found out that several members are migraine patients, let's put our heads together and try to figure out what we can do to minimize the attacks? Maybe??

Very bad news today: In December 2002, a little baby called Xena was killed by her mother. This past few days, she has been trialed for abusing and beating till death followed. The reason why I put this in the Remains of the Day topic, is because the mother was an ex classmate of me. She hit me in my face once, and she didn't even blinked her eye. I read it today in a paper from a few days ago, I don't follow news that closely. I was shocked and feel soo bad that this could happen to a little baby girl. That woman, Cindy Croon, deserves more then 30 years in prison. I hope that the women in there give her the same treatment as that little Xena had to go through!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

yes idd, a very horrible thing to happen, news like this gives me goosebumbs allover :s

Especially you know in someway who's it about, 2 person I knew, 1 ex-schoolmate, suicide. 1 brother of a mate, died in a boat disarter by neglegence of the boat company. Things that happen very often but only make you really think about it if u are in some way related.

It's not always far away from your bed, closer than you think. I can only imagine what it must be like to be those poor souls you see everyday in the news, war victims etc... Watching the news knocks me into the real world and it's cruelties...

For you, people with headaches:
It is not so sure whether it's a symptom or a cause, but when you have a headache you have a hight blood pressure in the head and the blood vessels there are very dilated, so taking means to lower that may help. If you never tried, put a headband or a scarf around your head and do it up very tight; it will slow the blood circulation and might help. Some componants are known to make those blood vessels dilate and thus trigger headaches: nitrates (found in high level in saucages & delicatessen), thyramine (found in chocolate), monosodic glutamate (sp?). If you use to drink coffee, not taking some does that effect too.
A lot of headaches & migranes are triggered by muscular tensions in the neck/head so taking care of it may help too. Also, doing a nap when you don't have headaches is known to trigger headaches as well.
If you like natural remedies, you can drink a birch bark tea; it contains salicylates, the active agent in aspirin (that's where it comes from, btw). Chewing the bark directly is even more efficient, but it's a bit less fun. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for your concern. It's not the most pretty way to find out how your ex-classmates are doing lately. Not to mention the poor baby, what a life would she've been having? Being beaten up from birth till death? Xena is now in a much better place, she is one of the many babies I will remember in my website. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

Oh nono, you got it wrong here. I didn't refer to my website as a better place, but I have made a page, where I placed a picture of an angel. That angel stands for every child that has died from abusing or neglecting. My idea was to stand still by that angel and think of all those who died without even having a fair chance in life. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> You can see it as some kind of a shrine.
