I remember reading this in a cheat site somewhere: If one of the teleporter stones is dropped over the trees near the edge of the world, new areas to explore are revealed. I tried this in Aleroth but I cant quite get over the edge (it wouldnt allow me to drop the stone over the trees onto the brown mud ground), and not much was shown . But since I was pretty close to the edge my sight should have shown more than a strip of brown ground . Does anyone know where I can find places where this teleporting trick would work?

From the entrance of Verdistis, there is a place you can toss a teleporter stone outside the gate, teleport there and run around exploring (IIRC you just have to be as close to the gate as possible without leaving Verdistis). This is described (or at least mentioned) in the topic below, along with other locations and points of interest.
EASTEREGGS and RUNE manuscripts

If you get to a place outside the normal play area you may not be able to walk or run, but can repeatedly toss a teleporter stone around and teleport to it. Places you can get to this way include the mountains, raised plateaus and across the river in the south east corner of the Dark Forest. For an example, see a way out, if you're Stuck in the Easter Egg Area.
