These are a bunch of songs for children in french schools. So, some french canadians here should recognise some. They're just bits and pieces.
"Si tu aime bouger come j'aime bouger, alors clap les mains. *clap**clap**clap**clap* "Si tu aime bouger come j'aime bouger, alors clap les mains. *clap**clap**clap**clap* "
---Yea... thats a little something from a french singer named Jaquot. I pulled a movie out of the pile of old and forgotten movies at my house and that came out. Must of been from when I was in JK or something. Hes a guy who dances with baloons... hes wierd.
"Le clow-n Sa-mu-el, aim-e les en-fants; aim-e les en-fants, le clow-n Sa-mu-el."
---Thats Marie Soleil. I don't remember what she looks like, but I remember how odd that song sounded to me, even back then.
Now I'm branching off from the french songs of my past; here's an english one.
"Picture Pages! Picture Pages! Bill Cosby's Picture Pages! Words and colours! Games and numbers! Come and learn with Bill! Picture Pages! Picture Pages! Bill Cosby's Picture Pages! Words and colours! Games and numbers! Come and learn with Bill!"
---The theme song from Picture Pages, a fun learning show by Bill Cosby. I remeber always enjoying it. Good times...
Thats all for now.

I have also some child songs but they are all in French.
That's it for today

I remember all those ones Galadriel! And yes, the words are right (I think ). My name is Pierrot! Actually its Pierre; close enough. I actually got some friendly teasing in grade school for that every time we sung that song. In grade school they also taught us one thats an indian song: "Ah-ni coo-ni, Ah-ni coo-ni; Ah-ni coo-ni, Ah-ni coo-ni. A-ah-ni coo-oo-ni shaa-ah-oo-ah-ni! A-ah-ni coo-oo-ni shaa-ah-oo-ah-ni! Ah-wah-wah, bi-ka-nah ka-y-ya; Ah-wah-wah, bi-ka-nah ka-y-ya; Eh-eh-ah-oh-ni, bee-ci-ni; Eh-eh-ah-oh-ni, bee-ci-ni." Its actually pretty majestic. There were hand gestures to go with the song, but I forget them. I think for each of the last two lines, you clapped above your head at the first 'Eh' and made a circle going down for the remainder of the line. Good times. Do you remember that one Galadriel? Anyone? I think it was pretty popular, maybe you've heard it. Killerzzz

I can't help it, but I drag this song with me all day already.
If I were a rich man, Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum. All day long I'd biddy biddy bum. If I were a wealthy man. I wouldn't have to work hard. Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum. If I were a biddy biddy rich, Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.
I'd build a big tall house with rooms by the dozen, Right in the middle of the town. A fine tin roof with real wooden floors below. There would be one long staircase just going up, And one even longer coming down, And one more leading nowhere, just for show.... Now all together!

In grade school they also taught us one thats an indian song:

I think for each of the last two lines, you clapped above your head at the first 'Eh' and made a circle going down for the remainder of the line. Good times. Do you remember that one Galadriel? Anyone? I think it was pretty popular, maybe you've heard it. Of course I know this song! It might be taught in every vacation camp, and is sang often in campings too. Recently it was used as the theme of the french Eeuebecer movie Camping Sauvage. I don't remember the gestures either, though... (And I know all the previous french ones you posted; they're folklore ) Now this one is sang mostly by the kids in the car/bus along the travel: Dans la belle petite maison dans la vallée (yee-ha) Nous irons main dans la main En chantant ce gai refrain Dans la belle petite (...) maison dans la vallée, ohé Ohé! (ohé!) Hé-oh! (hé-oh!) (And then you start singing it again, repeting "petite" one time more everytime you sing it again (you say it 2 times the second time, 3 times the third time, etc.). This song can sometimes drive people mad... )

Lady Sarah, I love that song. Just hearing it again makes me want to go get it now.
LaFille, I don't recognise that one. Oh well, can't catch 'em all (Pokemon!... random statement!!! ).
Know what other song drives people mad?
"John Jacob Jinglehymer Shmidt! His name is my name tooooooooooo! Whenever we go out, the people always shout: There goes John Jacob Jinglehymer Shmidt! Naa-naa-naa-naa-naa-naa-naa! John Jacob Jinglehymer Shmidt! His name is my name tooooooooooo! Whenever we go out, the people always shout: There goes John Jacob Jinglehymer Shmidt! Naa-naa-naa-naa-naa-naa-naa!"
And you keep repeating it. One that makes them more crazy is:
"This is the song that ne-ver eeeends! For it goes on and on my frieeeeend! Some people, started singing it no knowing what it was, and they will keep on singing it forever just because... This is the song that ne-ver eeeends! For it goes on and on my frieeeeend! Some people, started singing it no knowing what it was, and they will keep on singing it forever just because..."
This is a song you sing over and over, quite quickly, and you don't stop untill someone makes threats at you or you get wacked over the head!
Now for some french song:
"Pomme de vinette et pomme d'apis, petit tapis rou-ge. Pomme de vinette et pomme d'apis, petit tapis rouge."
This is one a certain grade school teacher put on during tests. I only remember one annoying line...:
"Oui je suis le ca-THÉ-DRAAAAAAA-LEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!"
More kids songs commin' up!:
"I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and banaaanaaas! I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and banaaanaaas! I like to oat, oat, oat, opples and bononos! I like to oat, oat, oat, opples and bononos! I like to ite, ite, ite, ipples and bininis! I like to ite, ite, ite, ipples and bininis! I like to uut, uut, uut, upples and bunuunuus! I like to uut, uut, uut, upples and bunuunuus! I like to eet, eet, eet, eeples and beeneenees! I like to eet, eet, eet, eeples and beeneenees! I like to ayt, ayt, ayt, ayples and baynaynays! I like to ayt, ayt, ayt, ayples and baynaynays!" etcetera.
You can start to do some weird mixed and warped vowel sounds, but then it gets pretty hard to put down into letters.
Heres part of a song from the movie Chicago (very well done for a musical). This particular song is disturbing, but catchy:
"They had it commin'! They had it commin'! They had it commin', all al-ong! I didn't do it, but if I done it, then can you tell me that I was wrong?"
Its a bunch on women in jail singing about how and why they killed their husbands. Nice huh?
Okydoky, thats all for now I think.
Killerzzz
P.S.: I do like to eat apples and bananas!

words get tangled on your tongue and u stumble on your feet when u miss somebody and everywhere u think u see them walking down the street when u miss somebody
when u miss somebody u tell yourself a hundred thousand times nobody ever lives forever, so u give it one more try to wave goodbye
every hurtful thing u ever said is ringing in your ears when u miss somebody and everything of beauty that u see only brings a tear when u miss somebody
when u miss somebody u tell yourself everything will be alright try to stand up strong and brave when all u want to do is lay down and die
how long i've waited for an answer or a sign lonely and weary from this troubled task of trying to wave goodbye
so now u start to recognise that every single path u see leads a tear in your eye so wave goodbye, wave goodbye

Do you feel the summer iching, Killerzzz? Maybe. I do know that I feel it ending... its school time tomorrow for me. ... Whoa... I've just really taken in what I've just said. School tomorrow. Euhg. Oh well, as the song in Peter Pan says... "Think of the happiest things; its the same as having wings. Think of songs the movies make when the movie's still awake. You see him in the skies. You can fly! You can fly! You can fly! You can fly! You can fly!" Yes, alot of those words are wrong. Thats just off the top of my head. *shrug* Killerzzz

For the little boy that lost his life today at the daycare in my village...
Slaap, kindje slaap, Daar buiten loopt een schaap, een schaap met witte voetjes, drinkt er de melk zo zoetjes. Schaapje met zijn witte wol, kindje drinkt zijn buikje vol.
Translation: Sleep, baby sleep, outside there is a sheep, a sheep with little white feet, drinks his milk soo sweet. Little sheep with his white wool, baby drinks his belly full...
That baby will never wake up again

Thats a very nice song. My heart goes out to everyone in your village who was affected by his passing. As many know, and many have stated: it is terrible that some young perish before the old. May his family and friends be strong, and so may all those who have lost someone close. I don't know any songs for him, but here's one that touches me. Its a song about those who did not return from the war, but its the best I can think of from my known music. This song is very touching, and I'm sure many will recognise it.
"O danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are ca-al-ling from glen to glen, and down the mountain side. The summer's gone and all the roses fa-al-ling. It's you, it's you must go and I must hide."
Thats all I know. It's a nice song, so I got the rest off the internet.
"But come ye back when summer's in the meadow or when the walley's hushed and white with snow, I'll be there in sunshine or in shadow. Oh danny boy, oh danny boy, I love you so.
But when ye come and all the flow'rs are crying, if I am dead, as dead I may well be, ye'll come and find the place where I am lying and kneel and say an ave there for me.
And I shall hear through soft you tread above 'em, and all my grave will warmer, sweeter be. For you will bend and tell me that you love me, and I shall sleep in peace unitl you come to meet."

Beautiful song. *sigh*

for the little boy, it's a part of the song by Temple of the Dog, called Say Hello to Heaven
I never wanted to write these words down for you With the pages of phrases of things we'll never do So I blow out the candle, and I put you to bed Since you can't say to me now, how the dogs broke your bone There's just one thing left to be said
Say hello to heaven

Fiddler on the Green - Demons & WizardsThe CD's cover art goes with this song. Sad voices they're calling Our precious girl she can't be gone How bitter this morning When daddy's darling Went out and started her day Wasn't there a dream last night Like a spring never ending Still the water runs clear Through my mind On the field I can see a fiddler The fiddler on the green and the sad boy I took him too early Would you mind Would you mind Would you mind If I take you To be with you To be with you To be with you To be with you The sun seemed bright The air was clear The air was clear A trick of light Turned red into green She saw the light Her face was pale Her body smashed Her beauty's gone Isn't it a shame The reaper said He is quite alone here And still waiting for you Oh I really did fail for the first time Spoke the fiddler, poor old fiddler The fiddler on the green The fiddler on the green It would be nice… Take my hand Just hold my hand I'll take you there Your pain will go away

This is my favorite hymn:
"And He will raiiiise you up, on eeaaagle's wings, Beeaaar you on the breeeaaath of dawn, Make you to shii-iine like the suuuuuuun, And hooold you i-in the-e paaaalm, of His Haaaand.
You need not fear the terror of the night, Nor the ar-row that flies by daaaaay, Though thou-sands fall a-bout you, Near you it shall not coooome.
And He will raiiiise you up, on eeaaagle's wings, Beeaaar you on the breeeaaath of dawn, Make you to shii-iine like the suuuuuuun, And hooold you i-in the-e paaaalm, of His Haaaand."
[color:"green"] Thats all I know, but since I like this song, I went to get the rest: [/color] "You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord, Who abide in His shadow for life, Say to the Lord, "My Refuge, My Rock in Whom I trust."
Refrain And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you, And famine will bring you no fear; Under His Wings your refuge, His faithfulness your shield.
Refrain And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night, Nor the arrow that flies by day, Though thousands fall about you, Near you it shall not come.
Refrain And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
For to His angels He's given a command, To guard you in all of your ways, Upon their hands they will bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Refrain And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His Hand. And hold you in the palm of His Hand."
I particularily like the part where it says "Make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His Hand". Why? It shows that, compared the God, the amazing brilliance of the sun is insignificant. I just love it.
