I think that you are wrong here Dragh, I saw a documentary some time ago, where male chimps took the little newborns or smaller youngs to smack them against a tree, to kill them. Just to show the others who's the boss. Nothing more, nothing less. It was horrible! Apes look too much like humans to use them as an example. Lions do the same thing, they kill the babies of other lions when they become the master, so that the seeds of the former master is gone. You rather take deers or birds as examples.
