You get an optional quest to find a dragon to learn the ghost spell (you can also get something else out of him with the right speech options), but that is about it. The only other quest log entries are related to defeating the Black Ring and stopping the summoning.
The release of the game was rushed by the publisher, so the wastelands ended up predominantly hack and slash.
