Yeah, there are probablly more or less RPG-aspects in every game. But when talking about something that really developed from the table variant, where hack'n'slash isn't such a great part (I think...). In these games you're supposed to "act" as your character, doing what your character would have done considering his abilities and background, and to experience a good story as that character. And if you think about it, this is really what a true cRPG is about too (maybe less of the first one since altering your background is pretty hard in a cRPG. Only Torment have really sucsessed in makeing that part work, since the main characters background isn't known, and to that the story is written BASED on finding that background out).
