While you could assume that they decided against killing the baby (to prevent the aspect of the Lord of Chaos possessing it from growing in power) and brought it out of the Black Ring dungeon, Marian pointed out (see quote above) that the cut scenes were deliberately vague on that point, and the Divine One may have killed the baby and been carrying loot out at the end.
