I lost my last grandparent last year, the only one I ever met (the others where dead when I was born), to Alzeimer's. He'd been falling for years and never remembered who I was really. Coulnd't really feel that sorry for him, he never really meant something for me. So it acually feels like I never had any grandparents at all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />.
But it must be whorse for you since you're...what? Around 30? Or is it 40? Anyway, you knew him, which I didn't really do with my grandparents (not even the living one). Was it from your mother's or father's side by the way? We have different word for our mother's father and our father's father (sam with the mothers) which is less confuseing.
