What language version of Beyond Divinity do you have?

English version.

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before trying to start the game, and did you do so before installing it?

The demo doesn't give me any problems when installing with those programs running...

Did you try running the configuration program? If so, can you set the resolution and run the test?

Yes, with the same results as if i didn't.

Try deleting the files config.div, slashed.cfg and slashed-d3d6.cfg in the Beyond Divinity folder (if they exist), to force the configuration program to recreate them.

I'll try that today.

If you open Windows Explorer and browse to the '..\Beyond Divinity' folder, can you double click on the div.exe file to start the game?

Well, a process does start called div.exe or something, and can easily stay active for half an hour without me even seeing that it's running...

If you leave the play CD out of an optical drive, do you get an error to that effect when trying to start the game?

It never gets that far.

If you have the English version on BD, you could try reinstalling the latest copy protection drivers. Updating or removing StarForce drivers
If other localizations use different copy protection methods, you could check their website, and see if there are any updates or FAQs.

Thanks, i saw a link to their website in an other topic but couldn't find any way to update the bugger.
*Update* Updating StarForce had no effect

If you have the English version of BD, there is a file verification procedure you could try to help determine if the problem is with the game itself or a conflict with something else. It sounds like you would have seen that already, though, in some of the other topics you checked.

Could you please post how to do that?
