I recently learned from my son an interesting fact about octopi. He is planning to tattoo an octopus on his leg. I asked him: if he were then to lose his leg, would that be a Farewell to Arms? He then informed me that actually the 8 tentacles of an octopus are technically considered to be lips.

The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?
