Well it seems feasible ... but the magnetic force would have to be three dimensional .. up&down and side ways else the moment you would nudge the bed it would be pushed of its "Magnetic Field" feet so to speak <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
Not if you had magnetic sink holes. If you space the magnetic sources far enough apart, the bed will rise if nudged, then fall back into it's original position.
Think of a tray of tightly packet basket balls, each ball representing a magnetic field. When you place a soccer ball on top of this layer, it will roll and rest on three of the basket balls. If you nudge the soccer ball sideways, it will roll up one of the basket balls, then roll back down to it's original position.
So long as you don't bend over the bed and have wild monkey sex, you should be fine!
