Well dang it all ... yesterday my mobile phone kept ringing every hour, not knowing the number and it being a sydney number I didn't bother to answer .... but after the third time I got fed up, so I called the number back ... here's what happened:
Other person: Hello this is Katherine
me: erm well you have called me three times today, and I wondered if perhaps you had the wrong number?
Katherine: ahh whats your name?
me: (cautiously) Mea! <Name changed cause I am paranoid with my real life on the net>
Katherine: Aha! do you live <address> ?
me: erm yup, but who are you ?? (now thinking it is some sort of telemarketing ploy)
Katherine: Oh I am from Dell and I just wanted to let you know (NOW I am certain it is a telemarketing call) that you have won an Xbox 360 with compliments of Dell!!
me: huh! wot? how? (real intelligent question that)
Katherine: oh you entered the xmas competition on our Dell website and you have won!!
me: really ???
Katherine: yes really!
me: Oh thank you I appreciate that!
Katherine: could I confirm some details plz?
me: blah yes blah blah yes
