Hi

Just thought I should report a big crash - which also affected my computer

After escaping the Citadel and starting Act II, I first explored the immediate area round about. Freeing the imprisoned imps and gaining access to the Imp Village and completing a "Summoning" quest.

Next came "mapping out" the Imp Village and learning of most of the quests and then The Battlefields to do the first two new dungeons - and then back to the Imp Village to start the Spider Forest.

I had practically covered all the Spider Forest when I encountered "something" (I don't know what) which killed me instantly - in the South East area.
I did the usual escape to the main menu and loaded my latest save and very gingerly went back towards where I knew I had just been killed - saving frequently.
However, I was instantly killed at the same spot - again without seeing anything - BUT this time the game crashed to desktop.

For some reason screen resolution had become 640 x 480.
[I keep this machine at 1280 x 1024 and the game plays using 1024 x 768.]
??????
And my desktop icons were all jumbled up.
Furthermore, there was an error message showing about Beyond Divinity "having had to close" ....
[I don't remember the exact wording.]

I decided my best move was to re-boot and did so.
This is a dual boot machine and during the boot up procedure I normally just choose whether to boot XP or Win98SE but when the choice came up, just "XP" had changed to it's full "Windows XP Home blah, blah", which I have never seen happen before.

I've since gone back to the game and played a little more - NOT going anywhere near that tiny drastic bit of the Spider Forest and all has seemed OK but obviously I'm not very happy about what happened and thought I should let you know.

Has anyone else reported similar ??

[Not being a techie person I found it rather scary ]

Cheers.
