I think that is possible. The higher you get in level, the lower a monster's XP that is rendered to you. I'm not sure about quests. Are you playing with a higher-level character now than before?

The higher you get in level, the lower a monster's XP that is rendered to you. Completely true. If you kill a weak creature at the end of the game, you'll not get any XP points. I have also noticed that some quests give more XP points if you solve them later in the game. If you want to get a lot of XP points : kill a lot of strong creatures since the beginning of the game and solve the easy quests later. For exemple : the quest Graham vs Cirgon in Verdistis. At the beginning of the game, you will get more XP by killing Cirgon. At the end of the game, you will get more XP by not killing Cirgon. Barta

If you kill a weak creature at the end of the game, you'll not get any XP points. weak? i dint get xp at all when slaying creatures, whatever level they had. but this cause i used the editor( i was level 67 or something like that) and what is the highest level creature in dd? in my stats it said like: a normal level 67 creature needs 130(or something like that) hits to kill you. well that should be: if they inflict any damage at all. (once i left my game running for about an hour and i lost like 10 hp. whitout killing anyone, and this was near the prison where xroxy the orc was kept)

As a warrior I didn't bother with the Know Creature skill, but would guess the highest creature level is around 50.
I maxed Survivor's Instinct when I got the wastelands (level 50) just using up some spare skill points, and it was pretty much the only healing I required for the rest of the game (I used 3 minor restoration potions total, in 2 of the main fights). Even the group of 4 or 5 dragon riders couldn't do much damage, despite freezing me a couple times.

Well, if you play DD for the first time Know creature is pretty good when maxed out. you can see hitpoints, resistance and so on. if you would be a normal level char it sure would be helpfull. like when i had some posionbottles i threw them all to those skeletons in the catacombs, later i saw with know creature they are immune to poison. d'oh

I never used it. As a warrior it is quite irrelevant (Frost on a weapon gets 'm all ). As a mage though, I'm sure it's a good skill to train.

Are you talking about your 'cheating' character, or a normal one?

Correction: who useD an editor (it was fun, but ofcours it wasnt cool) Yeah, I tried it once, but the game became a bit boring that way soon. No challenges anymore.

i used it to be able to follow the storyline, cause i always had a problem when i was like level 5 or so. i used an editor an was able to play trough the catacombes in 5 minutes, then i could finally continu the storyline and i played till the council of seven. i wanna finish the game whitout cheating so i will try it again when i feel like it.

If you solve the available quests in Aleroth and kill everything that moves in the catacombs you really shouldn't have a problem following the story line down there.

there is the one skeleton conjurer on the second level that is kind of tough. also, if you try to kill the skeleton warriors (the bigger ones) with melee weapons, they will kill you in one or two hits. everything else should be easy. oh wait, then there is the creatures that spawn on the third level.

If you play the game with the difficulty level 'easy' enabled, then it's rather easy, if you play it 'hard', it's rather hard. No surprises there
