Ok i created this topic,
to see what all the forum members are doing at theire work.
and maybe people can ask all sorts of questions to eachother, like how does it work...etc..

I'm Bean,
And i work in a chemical plant at "Tessenderlo Chemie".
we have different plants on lokation wich produces different chemicals.
i work in 2 differend plants.
in one of the plants this happens:
by electrolyse from salted water (Brine),
we create hydrogen gas (H2), chlorin gas (Cl2) and Caustic Soda (NaOH). wich will be used to make other products.

nice to know is that we use almost 2% of the entire energy consumption in Belgium for this process (it was something about 88 Mega Wats), there flows an current of 360.000 AMPS trough the elektrolysing cells, witch produces an enormous magnetic field.
hammers and keys just "stick" on the device <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

what i do is sitting in a controlroom, monitoring the process and changing settings /switching to manual if nessesary.
then i also work on the "field" witch basicly is mananging the plant outside the control room. switching big copressors/motors, making saples of the product and analise them in the labority etc.
very nice job, althou very dangerous, with all these acids etc..
