As we are all in the mood for Christmas, I was wondering how Christmas is experienced in other countries.
I would like that everyone shows a picture of their Christmas tree or the symbol of your country for Christmas.
This is not another contest, or something to critize other's decorations. We all have our habits and our own tastes.
I'll start.

we dont have ours yet, we always buy the day before christmas (or 2 days something like that)

If we buy it now it will be ugly til Christmass <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" />... I'll take a picture on the 23'rd (we'll dress it then... Is dress the right word? It's the direct translation from Swedish).

That depends, if you get a tree with the roots on, and you water it every day, it wont look ugly when it's Christmas. And there is one thing some people seems to forget, when you buy your tree, don't bring it inside the first day. Leave that tree in the garage or a place inside where there is no heating. (the tree needs to acclimatisize) Then after a day or two you can bring the tree inside your house, but not decorate it yet. Give it plenty of water and even spray the 'leaves' (needles) too. Wait for one more day. So, now your tree is ready to be 'dressed' <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Don't think my father does that. He simplly buys a tree sometime mid december and put it on our porch til the 23'rd. Don't think it's a tree with roots either...

Ok, well as everyone can see, everything is in a state of caos...

The TV Units have been bubblewrapped already, the xmastree is packed away, and there are boxes everywhere... so there are some presents lying all over the lounge. (and i got a sneak preview of one of my presents <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> (its a 10ft trampoline - i wanted one of those for a very very long time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> )

heheheheh the IT we are refering to , is IRISH... hence the no-tan policy.... and nahhhh no one will need him <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> (even heaven doesnt want him... and hell is to afraid he's gonna take over!!)

And to who ever mentioned the sneakers on the couch... he did get "donnered" (very severely asulted) over it... but if you look closely, there are throw-overs on the couch... just to prevent anything dirty from causing REAL lightning in the house...

I still have the special clippers here somewhere (but alas its packed away) that we used to shave chow-chows with... you actually get a special clipper to cope with the thick hair.... a normal clipper wont even make a dent in those fur-ball creatures
